You spoke and we listened; we like to do that in Developer Relations! We've heard your comments regarding Google Developer Live (GDL) events and we understand that they are often key to solving complex questions you have. In order to keep up with your demand we've scheduled another round of Hangouts for all of our products over the next few months.

In the upcoming Hangouts you'll notice that we are experimenting with some new formats. On some products you'll see engineer interviews, third party product discussions, or the typical Office Hours. You can view the newly scheduled hangouts on the Google Developers events page. Please RSVP by clicking the “I’ll be there” button if you plan on attending.

In case you haven’t joined us before, you'll need four things to join the hangout:

These hangouts are informal and conversational, which make them a great place to ask questions or give us feedback. If you have questions about our GDLs, reach out to us on the forums.

Despite the fact that winter is upon us, DFP API developers are resisting the urge to slow down their integration efforts. We continue to see increased traffic on the forum and hear about new integrations nearly every day. To keep this momentum going and keep you up to date on the DFP API we'd like to share two exciting developments with you.

Yesterday we announced the DFP Third Party Partner Directory on the DFP Product blog. This listing is available to all our publisher partners and let's them know about all the great innovative products available from our DFP developer ecosystem. To get your solution listed as one of our preferred DFP partners integrate with the DFP API and submit an application to this form.
Second, for those of you still thinking about integrating with DFP, check out our recent hangout with Yieldex or tune in to Google Developers Live today to join in the discussion with maanto. Come hear directly from your peers as they describe the experience of working with the new API. We hope to see you there.

As always, let us know if you want to see any new features or blog posts on our forum.

Interested in more Google Ads Developers Live (Office Hours) events? We know you are because attendance has been great!

We've scheduled another round of events for AdWords, AdMob, DFP and AdSense APIs. You can view the newly scheduled live events on the Google Ads Developers Live page. Please add the events you are interested in to your calendar. You can follow our schedule by subscribing to the Google Ads Developers Office Hours calendar, which is also linked on this blog’s sidebar.

Just like in previous live events, you can join these hangouts to ask us questions or provide feedback about our products. In response to your request we will be adding AdWords API sessions for the Asia Pacific region and Japan. If you are from Asia Pacific countries or Australia and couldn’t join the hangouts before due to timezone inconvenience, we hope you will find these additional sessions more convenient. The live events in Japan will be in Japanese.

Events will rotate throughout the week to accommodate more people. We are also planning to make some of these events topic-based, where we will introduce you to a new feature of our product and then answer your questions on that topic. The dates and topics for these sessions will be announced in advance in separate blog posts.

Last week we announced the limited release of AdWords scripts, a new JavaScript-based cloud programming environment that you can use to update and report on your AdWords accounts. The feature will be rolling out to all customers over the coming weeks, but in the meantime you can join us in a webinar this Thursday, June 21st at 2pm EDT/11am PDT to see scripts in action.

The webinar will be hosted using Google+ Hangouts on Air, and will include:

  • An overview of what AdWords scripts are.
  • A discussion around how they work and what they can be used for.
  • A live tutorial showing how to create and run them.

We'll leave plenty of time to address any questions you have, and you can submit them ahead of time on this Google Moderator page. RSVP for the webinar by clicking the "I'll be there" button on the event's page and don't forget to subscribe to the AdWords scripts forum for future updates.

Last year we hosted our first office hours for the Google Ads Developer products using Google+ hangouts, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. We plan to host more of them in 2012, and sessions for January and February have already been scheduled. Our upcoming hangouts are listed on the Google Developers events page, and we encourage you to click the "I'll be there" button if you plan on attending. Update: DFP January Office hours have been moved to January 31st.

Last month we provided a new channel for developers to reach us: AdWords API office hours on Google+ Hangouts. Based on positive feedback from participants, we've decided to schedule additional Hangouts.

In this next round we are including one more time slot for the European region. Please join us via Google+ Hangouts during the following hours:

  • U.S. session: Friday, 16th Dec, 1PM EST / 10AM PST;
  • Europe session: Friday, 16th Dec, 11AM London / 12 PM Frankfurt / 3PM Moscow.

These Hangouts have no set agendas, so please come with questions and issues you'd like to discuss, such as, challenges you're having during migration to v201109 or issues while using one of our client libraries.

You can find the up-to-date schedule and how-to-join instructions on our community page. We look forward to talking with you face-to-face, but until then you can reach us on the AdWords API forum with any comments or questions.
