Something is for sure happening and Google is kind of being smug about it because it obviously must make them money or something. Reading some of the reviews it's not a coincidence that all of sudden SOME of our Google apps, services and emails aren't updating or working properly for months. Everyone is going to end up throwing their phones in the trash etc. Most of the technology isn't enjoyable anymore so it's only a matter of time. I didn't even know about the AI overview thing that's crazy.

The functionality of the app keeps on getting worse and worse it is even affecting the other apps on the phone making the icons for all other apps to disappear until the message shows up saying that Google app has stopped responding and turned it off and the icons that had disappeared reappear after I closed Google it is that bad and geting worse and I can't take it out because it came with the phone!!!I am stuck with a search engine that doesn't work!!!sound fun?

Until the ability to turn off the AI Overview is properly implemented (AKA turning off the "feature" actually removes it), I won't be using the Google search engine anymore. This excessive trust in AI is alarming and frustrating, and I won't put up with misinformation for the sake of using what I've always used. I can't afford to switch fully off of the Google system right now, but if this junk keeps getting pushed I'm gonna have to find the budget and time to move to something else.
