D.EL.ED Distance Education in India

D.EL.ED Distance Education is a two-year degree program that gives students the teaching skills they need. This program is very helpful for students who are unable to enroll in regular D.EL.ED programs, and graduates are certified to teach at the primary level.

Only a small number of colleges provide D.EL.ED via distance learning. SCERT Bihar and NIOS (ODL), two government institutions that offer restricted instruction in the subject of DELED Distance Education, are notable alternatives. The D.EL.ED Distance Education program was previously offered by IGNOU, but it has been suspended since July 2019.

Distance Education Licensing Eligibility

• NIOS: The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) of the Government of India is responsible for the autonomous National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). • SCERT: The Government of Bihar formed the State Council Educational Research Council to create a qualified teaching force in accordance with the standards specified by the Government of Bihar. There is a 10,000 INR course cost.

The NIOS (ODL)

The D.El.Ed. in Elementary Education is a degree program created especially for in-service, untrained teachers employed in lower or elementary schools. The Academic Department of NIOS has created DELED to be in line with NCF 2005, RTE 2009, and NCFTE 2010 on the initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. With its two-year Diploma in Elementary Education Program, NIOS is in charge of preparing aspiring elementary school teachers. The SCERT (ODL)

However, a sizable portion of these teachers lacked formal education.
