Hello,

I have implemented reward ads in my Unity game that request precise location permission in order to tailor the ads to the user.

When I refuse the permission, I notice a huge performance drop in my game, especially when new ads are loaded. I tried to use the optimize option that makes admod load ads on another thread, but I still have the same problem.

If the permission is accepted, everything runs fine.

I'm quite puzzled by this issue...

Is there something I should be aware of? Alternatively, is there a way to make admod work without asking for this permission?

Hey Morgan,

Thank you for contacting us.

It looks like you are using an old SDK which is having android SDK 21.0.0
If yes then i recommend to upgrade it as soon as possible. Before Android 21.0.0 ads location method are in use.

Now from 21.0.0, The location data is not used by Google to target ads. You should use third-party APIs to provide the information to third-party ad networks if required.

You can refer SDK Migration document for detail information.

In case you are having any other issue please reply back  by providing SDK version,  App Id and Ad Unit id.

Hi,

I'm sure I took the lastest SDK version. My Unity project uses the package version 9.1.0, which is the lastest at the time of this message:

Futher more I have exported the Unity project to an Android one and it is using the version 23.0.0
(Please check the capture I have joined)

So I'm using SDK 23.0.0 (Unity package 9.1.0)
App id: ca-app-pub-1241541037227210~5504887121
Unit Id: ca-app-pub-1241541037227210/1737445197

Best Regards
Morgan

Hello

I have uploaded the project. I actually did two updates by mistake. Please take "AlphaOmega_OK" the other is an old version of the project.
The first to be opened needs to be "SplashscreenScene".
In the Ediitor I obviously have no issue but I see this error on a real phone (I haven't tested on an emulator though).

Don't hesitate if you have questions.

Best regards
