PAY. always has the most suitable payment solutions for you: no matter what product or service you choose to offer online. PAY. has a wide range of different (international) payment methods per bank, phone and credit or prepaid cards.

1.2. Available Payment Options

The available payment methods depend on the chosen package and the category the webshop or website belongs to.

Per package

The Pioneer package includes all payment methods with the exception of collection and credit cards. In this case the Professional package is required.

Per category

iDEAL and Bancontact are popular payment methods that can be used in all product categories. However, certain payment methods are only available to specific webshop categories. For instance, Fashioncheque is only available to webshops that sell clothing-related items. The overview below shows the available categories per payment method.

1.3. Payout speed

The speed of the payout depends on your partnership with PAY. The speed will increase automatically in time or when you're receiving more payments. Read here about instant payments and the payout speed per payment method.

1.4. Implementing payment methods

You can create a sales location in the Admin Panel for your webshop / website. In this sales location you can indicate which payment methods you want to offer to your customers.

2. Alipay

Alipay is a semi-wallet which means that, in contrast to other wallet payments, funds can be easily transfered to other payment methods such as a bank account number or credit card.

Alipay is a Chinese payment method that is available through PAY. This payment option has more than 520 million active users and responds to the increasing group of Chinese consumers in The Netherlands.

Alipay is a semi-wallet developed by tech giant Alibaba. 80% of the Chinese population uses this payment method together with WeChat to make online or physical payments.

2.2. Alipay via QR

Your customers can pay in physical stores with the Alipay Barcode Payments in their Alipay wallet. You start the Alipay transaction in the cash register. The customer opens the Alipay app and selects Alipay as a payment option. The request is then forwarded to a HPP (Hosted Payment Page) with a QR-code displayed. As soon as this code is scanned, the transaction details show up on the display (i.e. company / trade name, the amount and the description of the payment order). In most cases, pressing the ''PAY NOW'' button will do. Sometimes the app requires additional verification with a password, pincode, Face ID or Touch ID.

2.3. Alipay via online

Paying with Alipay is easy. The customer must create an account with Alipay and link their Chinese bank account or credit card. In the online checkout process, the customer chooses Alipay as the payment method. The customer can then scan the QR-code with their smartphone via the Alipay app.

2.4. Alipay scanner

QuickPAY assists in making payments in physical stores. The easiest way to do so, is for a customer to click on the MONEY button in the app. After clicking on this setting, a QR-code will show up. This unique code is valid for as long as the Alipay app is open. If a hand scanner is not present in the store, you can also choose to display the payment code on the screen. With this option a 18-digit code will show up, starting with either the number 10, 11, 12, 13 or 14. The number can be entered manually by the staff member. As soon as the code has been entered, your customer will receive the confirmation via their mobile phone. Sometimes the amount is paid immediately while you can use the PAY NOW button for payments with higher amounts. The app might ask for the pincode before the PAY NOW button can be pressed.

The user's phone must be connected to the internet while making a payment with the app. The speed of the payment depends on the connection. The app usually receives the payment request from the cash register within less than one second.

2.5. Alipay via the PAY. app

The PAY. app easily helps you accept payments through a quick scan. Simply enter the payment information with your mobile phone. The customer can then scan the code with their own mobile phone to accept the payment.

2.6. Activation and payout

You can easily activate payments with Alipay in your webshop via PAY. You can do this by activating Alipay in the Admin Panel. PAY. performs a couple of checks which will take up to a maximum of 48 hours. Once you get through the check, we will register your account in our system. You will automatically receive an e-mail that confirms that your specific payment method has been activated.

Stichting Pay.nl receives and processes Alipay transactions and pays the received transactions to you through the process of clearing. It is not necessary to create an extra account or to sign an agreement with Alipay.

3. Amazon Pay

Amazon Pay is a payment method developed by Amazon.com. Amazon Pay enables to order products with their Amazon account on external websites. This payment method is quite similar to PayPal.

Amazon Pay is only available for digital services and not for physical goods.

3.2. Payout

PAY. has a distributing role in the transaction process. The end user receives credits via Amazon Pay while the costs for the financial collection are deducted.

3.3. Refunds

You can perform multiple refunds per transaction. The maximum amount that can be reimbursed to an end user is 100% of the original order amount.

External refund

Starting from the Professional package, it is also possible to create an external refund. The external refund is not linked to the original transaction but will appear as a separate refund in the Admin Panel. To create the external refund, you must have the IBAN number and the name of the account holder.

4. Apple Pay

Apple Pay offers your customers the possibility to complete transactions with the help of a wallet. This wallet can be connected to multiple Apple devices (i.e. MacBook, iPhone, Apple Watch or iPad). When a payment is made, the card data is retrieved from the Apple device and confirmed with a Touch ID, Face ID or the access code. PAY. then processes the payment(s) made through either a linked debit card (Maestro) or credit card (VISA / Mastercard).

4.2. Activation

To activate Apple Pay in your webshop follow the steps below:

1. Activate package options

  • In the Admin Panel select Merchant » Company Information https://admin.pay.nl/my_merchant

  • Click on ''Change Package Options''

  • Search ''Credit Cards'' in the pop-up window of the Professional Package tab and ensure that the checkbox is checked

  • Click on the ''Save'' button on the bottom right corner of the pop-up to save changes

2. Activating Apple Pay

Apple Pay is now available as a payment option in your webshop and / or sales location. To activate the payment option, follow the steps below:

  • In the Admin Panel navigate to the tab Sales Locations https://admin.pay.nl/programs/programs

  • Select the sales location where you want to activate Apple Pay by clicking on the ''Edit'' button in the options column

  • Check the checkbox for the Apple Pay payment option

  • Click on the ''Submit Changes'' button at the bottom of the page

3. Starting the Boarding Process

Apple Pay is not immediately available for use. First the boarding process is started. After the boarding is succesfully completed, you will receive an e-mail notification. After this notification Apple Pay will be available for use in your webshop or sales location.

In-store payments

There's no need for additional action if you have a PAY. terminal in your physical store you. Your customers can easily pay with Apple Pay via their iPhone or Apple Watch.

4.3. Clearing

E-commerce payment

Apple Pay e-commerce transactions are processed and received through PAY. When making a transaction, money from the specific linked debit (Maestro) or credit card (VISA / MasterCard) is withdrawn. Specific rates and release dates of the relevant debit or credit card will then be applied.

In-store payment

You receive Apple Pay pin transactions via VPAY or Maestro payment cards directly through PAY. You will not receive these payments via PAY. through VISA or Mastercard; this will take place via the supplier with whom you have signed a credit card / PIN contract.

Debit and credit card rates are charged differently for in-store and e-commerce transactions.

4.5. Refunds

E-commerce payment

From the Admin Panel you can transfer an e-commerce Apple Pay payment back to your customer. You can perform multiple refunds per transaction. The maximum amount that can be reimbursed to an end user is 100% of the original order amount.

In-store payment

A PIN transaction via Apple Pay cannot be refunded immediately. For this process it is important to have the IBAN number and the name of the account holder.

5. Bancontact

Bancontact is a Belgian bank payment method that allows your customers to pay with the help of their own familiar banking environment. Bancontact is the Belgian equivalent of iDEAL. It is an extremely popular payment method in Belgium, which makes it a perfect payment option if you target Belgian customers.

Customers obtain a payment card with a card number and expiration date. Data must be entered on the payment screen. The ''digipas'' enables customers to approve a payment through their own banking system.

5.2. Payout

Stichting Pay.nl receives and processes Bancontact transactions and pays the received transactions to you through the process of clearing. It is not necessary to create an extra account or to sign an agreement with Bancontact.

5.3. Refunds

It is possible to refund a payment to a Bancontact card.

The maximum amount that can be reimbursed to an end user is 100% of the original order amount + € 30,-.

External refunds

Starting from the Professional package, it is also possible to create an external refund. The external refund is not linked to the original transaction but will appear as a separate refund in the Admin Panel. To create the external refund, you must have the IBAN number and the name of the account holder.

5.4. Customer reference

When a Bancontact payment is successfully authorized, Pay. receives a CustomerID. We put the value of this ID in the CustomerKEY field. By default, the value consists of the PAN. This is the (partly anonymized) card number.

Because the PAN is partially anonymized, you cannot use this to establish relationships with other SEPA transactions such as Sofortbanking & Payment Initiation. Therefore, the value of the CustomerKEY field changes from the PAN to the full IBAN account number.

6. BLIK

BLIK is een betaalmethode die in Polen is ontwikkeld en veel gebruikt wordt voor online betalingen. Het is een wallet die gekoppeld is aan een bankrekening.

Een gebruiker kan een betalingen verrichten door een unieke zescijferige code in te voeren die door de app wordt gegenereerd. Als betaling succesvol geautoriseerd wordt roept Pay. de exchange url van uw webshopsysteem aan en zetten we de order op betaald.

Activatie

Met de (gratis) kant-en-klare plugins van PAY. kan jij BLIK simpel en snel aan jouw website of webshop toevoegen. De plugins kan je downloaden via ons Admin Panel. Ga naar Beheren. Vervolgens klik je op Verkooplocaties en dan op Wijzigen. Scroll naar betaalopties en vink Blik aan. Klik vervolgens op Wijzigen. De betaaloptie is direct actief.

Ook activeer je BLIK eenvoudig in onze Plugins. Als je meer flexibiliteit wil, kan je aan de slag met onze geavanceerde API's. Met de API’s kan de betaalmethode gemakkelijk opgehaald worden via onze SDK of Transaction API.

Billink is a fast growing payment option that enables your customers to pay for their ordered products and services afterwards. With the help of PAY.'s seamless integration platform, offering Billink in your webshop is done within seconds. Logging into an external system is not necessary.

Delayed capturing

The status of a transaction will change to PAID whenever a transaction is accepted by Billink’s credit check. We use the capturing setting for every new connection via PAY. It is set from default to ''immediately after the credit check''. If you do not want to capture automatically, please contact the PAY support desk or change this within the PAY. portal under: Sales locations -> Change -> Billink -> Settings

    Important Disclaimer: If a transaction is accepted by Billink’s credit check, the status changes to AUTHORIZE. You must manually capture or release (cancel) transactions yourself via the Admin Panel (Transactions > Reservations). If you want to deliver delayed with the guarantee that the transaction will be captured, request a change to one of the settings below.

Datashare

Via the data share, with the payment option, you share previous payment experiences of your customer based on an anonymous indicator (-10 to +10) so that you reduce fraud and increase the acceptance rate.

  • FULL_EXTENDED (data from the related transactions)

EPS Überweisung (Electronic Payment Standard) is the Austrian equivalent of iDEAL in The Netherlands. This online payment option was developed by a number of Austrian banks in 2001 and targets Austrian consumers. EPS Überweisung has more than two million card and account holders

EPS Überweisung is a guaranteed online bank transfer. This means that the payment can be tracked in real-time and the funds are guaranteed and collected immediately.

8.2. Activation and payout

When your customer opts to pay via EPS Überweisung and has selected one of the affiliated Austrian banks, our system will redirect them to their own bank’s payment screen. The customer then completes the payment by following the usual steps for internet banking. Once a payment has been completed successfully (or fails), our management system will notify you. You can then immediately proceed with the delivery of the ordered products, if applicable.

Activation

With the (free) and ready-made plugins from PAY. you can quickly add EPS Überweisung to your website or webshop via the Admin Panel. Navigate to "manage", click on services and then on "change service". Scroll to the payment options and then check EPS Überweisung. Lastly, click on "change". You will be able to use this payment option within 24 hours.

EPS Überweisung is also easy to download for various popular systems such as Magento, OpenCart, WooCommerce and more. If you want more flexibility, you can get started with our advanced APIs. With the APIs, the payment method can be easily retrieved via our SDK or Transaction API.

Customers can pay online by choosing a gift card of their choice at the check-out. After this step, they will be taken to the payment screen. Here the (19-digit) card number can be entered together with the PIN code that can be found on the back of the card (you can also find the PIN code under a scratch layer or it has been send to you by e-mail). Paying in the physical store is also easy: the gift cards contain a barcode that you can scan with the hand scanner. If your customer wants to pay with a gift card, he/she only needs to scan the barcode.

9.2. Payout

Stichting Pay.nl receives and processes the gift card transactions and pays the received transactions to you through the process of clearing. It is not necessary to create an extra account or to sign an agreement.

  • You need to sign an agreement to use Fashioncheque. You can download the agreement in the Admin Panel once you have activated Fashioncheque as a payment method.
  • To use the Webshop Giftcard, you must have a Webshop Giftcard account.

9.3. Refunds

It is possible to refund the amount via PAY. on the Fashioncheque, GivaCard and Webshop Giftcard gift cards. This is possible up to 14 days after the original payment. The credit will then be credited back onto the gift card. This does not apply to the Fashion Gift Card, Festivalcadeau, the Gezondheidsbon, the Nationale Bioscoopbon and the Podium Cadeaukaart.

It is not possible to refund the amount via PAY on the Wijncadeau gift card. To carry out the refund, you must have the customer's IBAN details.

For Fashioncheque and YourGift Card, you can make multiple refunds per transaction. The maximum amount that can be refunded to an end user is 100% of the original order amount + € 30,-.

External Refund

From the Professional package it is also possible to request an external refund. This is not linked to the original transaction, but will appear in the Admin Panel as a separate refund. To carry out an external refund, you must have the IBAN number and the name of the account holder.

10. Credit cards

10.1. Rulebooks

When activating the payment method credit card, make sure that:

  • You have provided all documentation for a compliant file
  • Your file has been checked and accepted
  • Your contact details and your Chamber of Commerce number (CoC) are visible on the website
  • You have provided an e-mailaddress and telephone number for consumer questions in your merchant connection
  • You have placed general terms and conditions on your website that comply with the legislation and regulations

Make sure that you register every sales location at PAY. Use the correct category and a clear description of your entered offer. PAY. will then categorize your request in one of the ''Merchant Category Codes'' (MCC). An incorrectly used MCC code will result in a faulty description on your customer's statement. This can lead to a lower success rate (since more payments are rejected) or it can lead to fines that can potentially be imposed by credit card companies.


If you registered the payment method ''credit card'' on a sales location and the payment method gets rejected in the process (because your website does not comply with the above rules), then you will receive a review fee of € 50,-. This review fee will be charged every time the above situation occurs.

10.2. PCI-DSS obligations

Offering credit cards as payment method means that you have to meet additional security requirements and guidelines as determined by the credit card companies. Guidelines and requirements are set in order to prevent customer or card details and / or data being stolen or misused. If card data comes into the wrong hands, it can be used by third parties to make purchases on legitimate websites. In some cases, an additional 3D secure (3DS) verification is required, which may result in unauthorized payments.

The PAY. checkout screen

If you use the standard PAY. checkout screen, you must also comply with the PCI-DSS rules as determined by the credit card companies. If your technology is not sufficiently secured, card data can still be stolen (i.e. because your customer is redirected to a page of an external party and not to a PAY. page). If you follow the steps, you will learn what measures to take. Naturally, the efforts required when using our payment screen are smaller. This is in contrast to processing the card details on / via your own platform.

Self assesment & ASV

For most entrepreneurs, relatively little extra effort is required. Usually a Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) (which you periodically fill in yourself) and a check of your systems by an approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) is sufficient enough.

Non-compliance

Credit card companies can hold you liable or impose fines if you proof to be non-compliant. Being non-compliant means that you do not comply with the rules as stated by the credit card companies. This also applies to violations of the PCI-DSS standards. In most cases, an investigation is started as soon as reports are received. However, random checks can also be carried out. There is a viable chance that you will be investigated if, for example, the map data that has been misused can be traced back to your company. You will receive a fine if you are unable to provide proof that you are PCI-DSS compliant.

10.4. Client Side Encryption

How we process your request

A boarding employee will process your application based on the total number of processed credit card transactions. Based on that number, you will be ranked in a PCI DSS Compliance Level. This level determines what additional documentation you have to submit for approval. You will receive the request to submit these documents when your application has been processed by a boarding employee.

10.5. 3D Secure

Frauduleuze transacties leiden tot extra kosten. Met de 3D Secure technologie bieden creditcardaanbieders beveiliging voor online creditcardbetalingen door de identiteit van klanten extra te controleren. Met deze verificatiemethode bevestigen kaarthouders een online creditcardbetaling met een speciale code, een wachtwoord of met een biometrische oplossing zoals een vingerafdruk of gezichtsherkenning. 3D Secure is een standaard voor American Express, Mastercard en Visa creditcards om veilig betalen via internet mogelijk te maken.

SafeKey van American Express

Creditcards van American Expres zijn standaard voorzien van SafeKey, een extra beveiligingsmaatregel die door middel van 3D Secure technologie zowel kaarthouders als (web)winkeliers beschermt tegen fraude.

Het authenticatieproces via SafeKey start zodra de kaarthouder online een aankoop doet. Dankzij de technologie wordt een SafeKey-transactie verzoek verstuurd naar de American Express Directory Server (DS) die het verzoek doorstuurt naar de server van de kaartuitgever. Vervolgens hanteert de kaartuitgever geavanceerde risicomodeltechnieken om de identiteit van de kaarthouder te bevestigen. Zodra de identiteit is gecheckt en bevestigd, wordt de kaarthouder gevraagd om zich te identificeren via een eenmalige verificatiecode (e-mail of SMS).

Mastercard Identity Check

Als (web)winkelier accepteer je steeds meer online betalingen. Daarom moet je er verzekerd van zijn dat elke transactie veilig is wanneer deze met een creditcard wordt betaald. Mastercard gebruikt hiervoor de Mastercard Identity Check. Deze extra beveiliging maakt online creditcardbetalingen veiliger voor jouw klanten en jou.

Bij het voltooien van een aankoop in jouw webshop met een Mastercard creditcard wordt de kaarthouder gevraagd om zijn/haar identiteit via de app van Mastercard vast te stellen door middel van een vingerafdruk of biometrische oplossing. Op het moment dat de online identificatie wordt bevestigd, wordt de transactie geaccepteerd.

Visa Secure

Om veilige online betalingen via creditcards mogelijk te maken, zijn alle creditcards van Visa standaard voorzien van Visa Secure (voorheen Verified by Visa).

Met behulp van Visa Secure kunnen kaarthouders op twee manieren online betalen, namelijk via een SMS-code of door de transactie te bevestigen in de app. Heeft de kaarthouder biometrie aangezet in de app? Dan kan hij via zijn smartphone, die gebruik maakt van iOS als besturingssysteem, de betaling in de app afronden met een vingerafdruk of met gezichtsherkenning. Maakt de kaarthouder gebruik van een smartphone met Android als besturingssysteem? Dan kan de betaling met een vingerafdruk worden voltooid.

LVP exemption

Een betaling tot 30 euro, mag zonder verplichte SCA worden verwerkt. Indien je hiervoor kiest en er komt een chargeback met een fraude reden, dan ben je aansprakelijk voor de kosten. Uiteraard kun je tegen de chargeback in verweer als je voldoende zekerheid hebt dat de kaarthouder echt zelf de betaling heeft uitgevoerd.

Challenge & Frictionless

Een authenticatie kan worden uitgevoerd op de challenger of frictionless flow. Bij Frictionless wordt er data vanuit de browser naar de bank verzonden om zo te proberen de betaler als 'bekend' aan te merken. Indien er voldoende data is, kan de bank beslissen om de betaling te bevestigen zonder extra vragen (challenging). Indien dit niet lukt, volgt de challenger flow. Er wordt in de meeste gevallen een popup getoont, met het verzoek om in een APP een bevestiging uit te voeren, of een pinconde in te voeren. Uiteraard zorgt de frictionless flow voor een hogere conversie.

Challenge afdwingen

Via de optimize setting kun je proberen te beinvloeden hoe een betaling wordt geautoriseerd, de uiteindelijke beslissing ligt altijd bij de issuing bank.

  • 01 - Standaard: Bank bepaald
  • 02- Voorkeur tot frictionless: Merchant wil liever frictionless
  • 03- Voorkeur tot challanger: Merchant wil liever de challanger flow, maar als de bank dit niet biedt, mag er worden teruggevallen op frictionless
  • 04 -Challenger verplicht: Indien de bank geen challenger aanbiedt, wordt de authenticatie afgebroken

10.6. Fraud prevention

In the field of online payments, credit cards carry a certain risk. PAY.'s advanced fraud detection and prevention system ensures that the number of fraud cases is kept to a minimum, so that safe and fast online payments can take place for both the customer as the merchant.

How does it work?

In case of a credit card transaction a risk analysis - which is based on a large number of factors - is automatically conducted. Deviating transactions are monitored in real-time and checked by the Risk department. Based on these factors, PAY. can estimate whether a transaction should and / or can be continued.

Conducting the risk assessment is very precise work, which is why PAY. will gladly do it for you. This means that you will always be assured that your transactions are carefully looked after.

If our fraud prevention system identifies a credit card transaction as 'increased risk', the transaction will be given the temporary status VERIFY (see Figure: Creditcard status: verify). Our team of specialists then performs an additional check and if necessary, contacts the merchant and then approves the payment to PAID or changes it to CANCEL. Until then, the status in your webshop will still be PENDING; the end user will not take any notice of the process as explained above.

10.7. Chargebacks

The burden of proof lies with the entrepreneurs when a consumer or their bank questions a credit card payment. The entrepreneur will then have the opportunity to demonstrate that the consumer has in fact executed the transaction and that the products or services have been received.

PAY. is happy to help you in such matters. If we fail to convince the supplier with the burden of proof, the transaction amount will be retained. The consumer will get their money back and the following chargeback costs will be calculated:

A chargeback can be requested by the consumer up to 180 days after the appointment for delivery of the product or service. If fraud is involved, a longer period can be applied.

A chargeback always costs money. Even if you are fully in your right, costs will be charged. Please ensure good communication with your customers and support with any complaints from their side.

Charge costs from the customer

If a customer carries out a chargeback without a valid reason, the chargeback still needs to be handled by you. If you include in your terms and conditions that the buyer is liable for costs in case of a faulty chargeback, then you can try to charge these costs onto the account of your customer.

10.8. Authorization

It is possible to make a credit card reservation. Once the customer has successfully completed the payment process, the transaction will receive the status AUTHORIZE and not the status PAID . You then have 14 days to convert this reservation into a payment (capture). If you do not take any action, the transaction will be canceled automatically (void).

10.9. Refund autorisation

Visa Mastercard has changed the way refunds are processed. Previously, a processed refund was deposited after a few working days into the credit card balance of the cardholder. The cardholder was usually unaware of the current refund status during this time and only saw the refund in the balance when it was received by the bank.

In order to give cardholders insight into their current refund status, the issuer (the consumer's bank) makes an authorization/reservation on the balance with a refund (as they are used to with a credit card purchase). As long as this reservation is visible, the consumer knows that the refund has not yet been received by the bank.

This authorization contains the same amount as the refund. If an AF is shown on the credit card balance it could lead to questions. You can reassure the cardholder that this authorization will automatically disappear once the refund has been received by the issuer and once it has been deposited into the credit card balance.

American Express (AMEX) belongs to one of the three largest credit card companies in the world. AMEX is a widely used payment option, both for online and offline payments.

Every American Express card is equipped with the extra ''Safe Key'' security measure. Cardholders can only make payments with this security check if the bank or card issuer actually adds the specific service to the card. In some cases, when paying with American Express (and in addition to the card details), you will be asked to enter additional details. In most cases this concerns a password or a number of code digits on the back of the card.

Mastercard is the second largest credit card provider in the world next to Visa that has a larger market share with 1.3 billion cardholders. Mastercard and Visa cover 95% of the international market and are therefore indispensable if you want to offer your products or services internationally.

Mastercard transactions are handled in 95% of cases based on the additional security check ''Mastercard SecureCode''. This is a 3D secure technology that ensures an additional security check is performed during the transaction process.

Mastercard Monitoring Programs

Mastercard has several programs for reviewing merchants. The credit card company has obtained its own method for reviewing fraud numbers (Sales2Fraud) and (Chargeback2TRX) ratios. Mastercard's method differs from Visa, AMEX and from PAY.'s Fair Use policy.

  • Fraud and chargebacks ratios are calculated and based on the volume of a month against the fraud and chargebacks reported in the following month.
  • Tressholds are determined by both the ratio and the effective volume.
  • There is no time for Low risk merchants to recover via the standard route without financial consequences. Merchants with High risk are placed directly in a program.
  • The programs start as soon as tressholds are exceeded for two consecutive months.

Global Merchant Audit Program (GMAP)

You will undergo the Mastercard's GMAP program if you have too many frauds or chargebacks for two consecutive months.

Excessive Chargeback Program (ECP) If you reach the status of Excessive Chargeback Merchant (ECM), you could be placed in the Excessive Chargeback Program (ECP). Watch the video for more information.

Fraud monitoring strategy (EFM)

Mastercard uses an Excessive Fraud Merchant (EFM) compliance program in the United States. The program started in October 2019. It is likely that the EFM program will also be rolled out to other regions. The EMF program will start as soon as the limits are exceeded. The following conditions will apply:

  • At least 1,000 e-commerce transactions
  • At least $ 50.000,- monthly net fraud revenue reported
  • At least 0.50% monthly fraud ratio
  • 3D secure and / or data-only transactions are less than 10% of the total card-not-present volume

Mastercard calculates this on a monthly basis. If you have 1001 transactions and 100 of these transactions are considered to be fraudulent (due to your preferences, Merchant Initiation or Customer Initiated) because you have executed more than 10% without 3D secure.

Visa is the largest credit card provider which makes it a widely used payment option, both online and offline. In Europe alone Visa has nearly 250 million cardholders. As with other credit card companies, the consumer can purchase products or services with Visa in your webshop or physical store and pay for it afterwards. The amount is not directly debited from the account, but later billed by the card company to the consumer.

Visa transactions are handled in 95% of cases based on the additional security check ''Verified By Visa'', a 3D secure technology that ensures an additional security check is performed during the transaction process.

Visa Monitoring Programs

  • Visa sends an early warning (without consequences) if there is a slight violation, but if you directly touch Standard or Excessive, the program starts immediately.
  • For Low risk merchants there is time for recovery via the standard route without financial consequences. Merchants with High risk are placed directly in a program
  • Visa can still judge a merchant as High Risk on an individual basis.
  • Domestic transactions (the merchant's country is the same as the cardholder's country) are excluded within Europe.

Giropay is a popular online payment method in Germany which is why it's also an interesting payment method to target the German consumer market. The payment process is very similar to that of iDEAL. It is safe and trusted and runs entirely through the consumer's internet banking environment.

Almost 80% of German consumers have the option to pay via Giropay, which makes it an indispensable payment option for the German market. Recently Giropay has also become available in Austria where the number of users is growing steadily.

12.2. Payout

Stichting Pay.nl receives and processes Giropay transactions and pays the received transactions to you through the process of clearing. It is not necessary to create an extra account or to sign an agreement with Giropay.

12.3. Refunds

From the Admin Panel you can directly refund a Giropay payment to the end user's account.

You can perform multiple refunds per transaction. The maximum amount that can be reimbursed to an end user is 100% of the original order amount + € 30,-.

External refunds

Starting from the Professional package it is also possible to create an external refund. The external refund is not linked to the original transaction but will appear as a separate refund in the Admin Panel. Google Wallet offers your customers the opportunity to complete transactions via a linked Android device or a smartwatch. When making a payment, the card details are taken from the Google Wallet account. PAY. then receives this data and processes the payment(s) based on the linked payment method (Visa, Mastercard or PayPal).

13.2. Activation

Activate Google Pay on a service

To activate Google Wallet in your webshop follow the steps below:

1. Activate option: Creditcards

  • In the Admin Panel select Merchant » Company information https://admin.pay.nl/my_merchant.

  • Click on ''Change Package Options''.

  • Search ''Credit Cards'' in the pop-up window of the Professional Package tab and ensure that the checkbox is checked.

  • Click on the ''Save'' button on the bottom right corner of the pop-up to save changes.

2. Activating Google Wallet

Google Wallet is now available as a payment option in your webshop and / or sales location. To activate the payment option, follow the steps below:

  • In the Admin Panel navigate to the tab Sales Locations https://admin.pay.nl/programs/programs.

  • Select the sales location where you want to activate Google Wallet by clicking on the ''Edit'' button in the options column.

  • Check the checkbox for the Google Wallet payment option.

  • Click on the ''Submit Changes'' button at the bottom of the page.

3. Starting the Boarding Process

Google Wallet is not immediately available for use. After activating Google Wallet in the sales location, a boarding process is started. If the boarding is successfully completed, you will receive a notification by e-mail. Google Wallet will then be available for use in your webshop or sales location.

In-store payments

You don’t have to take any further action if you use a PAY. terminal. Your customer can simply pay with Google Wallet via their Android device.

13.3. Clearing

E-commerce payments

You will receive a Google Wallet transaction via PAY. In the process of a transaction, we determine which payment method has been used to complete the transaction. This can be done with either Visa, Mastercard or PayPal. Please keep in mind that the rates and release periods of the relevant payment methods apply.

In-store payments

You will not receive Google Wallet payments via PAY. that have been facilitated with the payment methods Visa or Mastercard. You receive these payments via the supplier with whom you have a PIN contract. You will however receive Google Wallet payments made with PayPal via PAY.

End2End

If you do not want to display '' Stichting Pay.nl regarding'' or ''via PAY.nl'' on the customer's statement, you can choose the collecting solution End2End. In this case your customer sees your name and account number as the ''contra account''. You will receive the funds directly into your account. However, this does result in more credits where your bank can charge you costs per credit.

In The Netherlands, direct debit is a commonly used payment method. It is often used for ongoing periodical payments, but it can also be used for one-off payments. Direct debit is ideal for the payment of subscriptions and contributions.

One-off payments

In this form, an amount is debited from your customer's account once. The customer is notified by means of a pre-announcement, after which the customer has 7 days to refuse the collection.

Periodic payments

In this form, an amount is periodically debited from the customer's account. This can be, for example, once a month or once a quarter. This form of collection is extremely suitable for subscriptions.

16.3. Payout

16.4. Reversal (chargeback)

Every customer has the right to invoke. This means that your customer can reverse a direct debit transaction within a certain period. This term is set at 56 days and applies to all banks within Europe. The debited amount is then credited back to the customer's bank account.

16.5. Report Unjustified Direct Debit

According to the laws and regulations drawn up for the protection of the consumer, any direct debit transaction without written authorization is an incorrect depreciation. 17.3. Pay Now

Pay now from Klarna enables your customers from 14 European countries to pay for their online purchases directly. Pay now can be compared to iDEAL. With just one integration, you give millions of customers in 14 European countries access to this payment method. This payment method can be used in your physical store and in your webshop.

The conversion rate of your webshop will increase with 10%, because customers only have to enter top-of-mind data. The realtime credit check that is performed at the time of the customer's purchase ensures that the average acceptance rate is above 90%. You are guaranteed to receive payment because Klarna takes full responsibility of the financial risk.

17.4. Pay Later

Pay Later is a Klarna payment method where your customers can pay for their purchases afterwards. Since customers only have to enter top-of-mind data when placing a purchase, the checkout process works easily and lowers the purchase-threshold. Your customer can place an order with Pay later if the realtime credit check approves the purchase. Klarna does not want customers to make online purchases if their finances don't allow it.

Once the order has been received, customers can decide within 14 days whether they want to keep or return the items. If the customer returns the whole order or a part of the order, Klarna will quickly adjust the invoice. This way your customers only pay for the products that they want to keep. The customer can also snooze the payment for free for 10 days. For a smaller fee, they can extend the payment deadline to 30 days.

Your customers can find all their orders and payments in the Klarna app. As soon as you inform Klarna that you've send out your orders, Klarna will send an e-mail with the payment details to your customer as well as a link to the Klarna app to finalize the payment. Your customers can also log into their Klarna account via www.klarna.nl.

17.5. Limit and check

Klarna does not apply a hard limit on transactions, but uses an extensive risk algorithm with more than 250 parameters with which realtime decisions for acceptance can take place.

When your customer opts for this payment method, a credit check is made in a split-second to determine whether your customer can pay afterwards. If this check is successful, you will immediately receive a signal that the amount has been authorized. From that moment on you can send out the orders.

17.6. Boarding and clearing

You need a Klarna account if you want to accept this payment method in your webshop. Please navigate to Klarna. After you sign an agreement with Klarna, PAY. will receive all necessary data to link the Klarna platform to your webshop.

Klarna can be linked to your webshop in two ways:

Collecting/ Fullservice

PAY. always functions as a collecting payment service provider and pays out your turnover via clearing. Captured Klarna reservations are added to your book balance, after which the payout is made regularly. Your other PAY. clearings will also be included. You can also (partly) refund payments via PAY. without any problems. Search for the specific payment, select the products you wish to refund and PAY. will take care of the rest.

Distributing / Gateway

PAY. can also function as a distributing payment service provider but this is only the case if you use an Alliance Partner. We take care of the processing to Klarna, but we never get a hold of your turnover. It will be paid to you by Klarna.

17.8. Disputes

When a customer initiates a dispute with Klarna, the merchant is responsible for resolving this dispute. No dispute fee will be charged if a customer:

Multibanco is the most widely used payment method in Portugal. The payment method is offered and used in many places, including supermarkets, airports and museums. Implementatie

Een supportmedewerker van Pay. neemt jouw aanvraag in behandeling. Wij informeren NOTYD dat je gebruik wilt maken van de betaaloptie. De boarding bij NOTYD duurt ongeveer 7 werkdagen. Als de boarding voltooid is controleren we of het webshopsysteem dat je volgens onze administratie gebruikt nog up to date is.

Zo niet dan adviseren we de plugin te updaten naar de meest recente versie. Deze kun je vinden op Github. Als je een eigen implementatie hebt hoef je nadat je van ons toestemming hebt gekregen om de betaaloptie live te zetten enkel het paymentOption 2931 te activeren in jouw script. De images vindt je hier.

Als de testtransactie succesvol is kun je starten met de verwerking van NOTYD betalingen.


20.5. Credit check

Kredietcheck

De kredietcheck van NOTYD bepaalt of jouw klant mag betalen of niet. Wordt de klant niet kredietwaardig bevonden dan tonen wij een melding dat de klant niet in aanmerking komt om te betalen met NOTYD.

Sales en Orderdata

Om de kredietwaardigheid van de betaler te bepalen, is zogenaamde sales -en orderdata nodig. Deze (echte) data moet je meegeven als je een NOTYD transactie wil starten via de API van PAY. Geef je deze data niet of onvolledig door, dan tonen we de betaaloptie niet in het betaalkeuzescherm. Een overzicht van alle verplichte variabelen om een NOTYD transactie te starten, vind je in onze Transactie::start API documentatie.

Zakelijke transacties (B2B)

Voor het starten van een betaling via NOTYD is het KvK-nummer een verplichte variabele. Deze variabele vindt je in de Enduser Company array van onze Transactie::start API documentatie.

20.6. Payout

De NOTYD transacties komen binnen via Stichting Pay.nl en worden middels een clearing naar jou uitgekeerd. Het is niet nodig om een extra account aan te maken of om overeenkomst af te sluiten bij NOTYD.

When your customers choose the bank transfer payment method, they will automatically directed to our payment screen. The payment screen contains all the information your customers need to finalize the payment of their order(s). When your customer has transferred the payment, it will take at least one working day before the payment arrives in the account of Stichting Pay.nl. Based on the unique payment reference, we can then link the order to the correct merchant and set the status to ''paid''.

Following the introduction of the SEPA standard, the term ''European transfer'' was launched. This is also known as a SEPA transfer or Euro payment. With a European transfer, money can be transferred between European bank accounts throughout Europe. This is made possible by the introduction of a uniform bank account number, also known as IBAN.

Stichting Pay.nl receives and processes the bank transfer transactions and pays the received transactions to you through the process of clearing.

21.4. Credit

Processing time banktransfers

PAY. continuously checks whether bank transfers have been received into our third-party account. Based on the payment reference, the payment is then linked to the transaction and your book balance is increased by the transaction amount. It usually takes less than an hour for payments to be processed. However, this also depends on the specific bank.

Sofort Banking

In 98% of the cases, PAY. receives payments within 30 minutes, which means that you can often deliver products to your customers on the same day. If you offer SOFORT Banking and high-risk products, we advise you not to deliver the products until you have received the payment. SOFORT Banking is a payment method that does not 100% guarantee payments. We therefore advise you to deliver the products after you have received the payment.

21.5. Non matching payment

PAY. is unable to automatically link a transaction on its third-party account if a payment reference or amount of the payment is incorrect. In accordance with the PSD2 legislation, we will refund this payment to the customer within 24 hours.

We can however link the payment to a transaction manually if your customer contacts you in the meantine.

World payment bank transfer
A different procedure applies to world payment bank transfers. PAY. is unable to link a transaction back to a payment and to refund it to the end user.

If the customer contacts you in the meantime, PAY. can manually link the payment back to the transaction. You then have the option to deliver the product(s) or to make a chargeback via your own bank account.

Payconiq is the free mobile omnichannel solution that facilitates payments. The online payment method can be offered by merchants located in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. The payment method cannot be offered to consumers if the company is registered in another country.

Making mobile payments via Payconiq is easy: your customer only needs to scan a QR-code with an Apple or Android smartphone. Payments are facilitated via the Payconiq app - they are directly linked to the bank account of your customer.

Payconiq was established at the end of 2015 and is a joint initiative of ING, SNS, Rabobank, RegioBank, ASN, Belfius, KBC and BNP. Since the launch, more than 50.000 stores have joined this payment method.

22.2. Clearing

Stichting Pay.nl receives and processes Payconiq transactions and pays the received transactions to you through the process of clearing. It is not necessary to create an extra account or to sign an agreement with Payconiq.

22.3. Refund

Payconiq refunds are processed via PAY. In case of a refund, PAY. will transfer the refunds to the IBAN of the account holder. Refunds with Payconiq are processed in the same way as the payment methods iDEAL and SEPA.

22.5. QR-code

Making payments with Payconiq is fast and user-friendly. First, your customer downloads the free Payconiq app for iOS or Android. Then the bank account must be linked to the app. The Payconiq app works with all Dutch banks and linking the app is simple. Once the bank account is linked, your customer can use Payconiq rightaway!

You can easily pay with Payconiq in a webshop or in a physical store by scanning the QR-code:

  • The specific QR-code will appear on a display, in the app, on your desktop or on an ATM screen;
  • Your customer scans the code with a smartphone. The customer then needs to approve the amount in the Payconiq app with a four digit code, a finger scan or Face ID. The payment is then completed. As a (web)retailer you will see the transaction on your screen. Your customer has paid!

PayPal is a popular and frequently used online payment method all over the world. With a free personal account, consumers can pay directly for their online purchases via credit card, bank transfer or with their PayPal balance.

With over 169 million users, PayPal is a payment method that your checkout page can't miss.

Recently, PAY. developed a new API for Paypal. This new API ensures that your payments are processed even better. To use this new route you must give Paypal permission to link your account to PAY. You can easily do this via the PAY. Administration panel. You have to create a new account in your excisting Sales location(s).

Follow the steps below to PAY. to authorize:

  1. Go to the Sales Locations tab and scroll to the payment option Paypal
  2. Activate the payment option if you are not yet using Paypal and/or click on Add new
  3. In the Paypal popup enter your email address and click on Next
  4. Enter your password and click on Login
  5. If you have enabled 2-step verification on your account, please enter the verification number you received by SMS or authenticate App
  6. Allow Paypal to link your account to PAY.
  7. Click back to PAY. to exit

Now complete the account creation by setting the PaymentOption settings and finally click on change.

23.3. Cash flow

PAY. has a distributing role in the transaction process. You therefore receive the credits on your own PayPal account. The costs for the financial settlement are deducted. We only invoice you the fee for routing the transactions.

PayPal account

To use the PayPal payment method, you need a PayPal account. PayPal provides you with a standard account and rates. If you process more than € 100.000,- per month in PayPal payments and you have the business package, then your account manager can contact PayPal to obtain a personal offer.

23.4. Payment settings

PayPal is beneficial for your customers because the payment method has a purchase protection and thus protects your customers against scams and fraud. The funds are deducted from the PayPal account. To protect your customers against these costs, PayPal also offers seller protection.

Unauthorized transaction

A customer requests a refund and has stated that the purchase of an object or service was made without his or her consent. If the transaction qualifies for this, you can get the full amount of the payment back with our Seller Protection module.

Item not received

A customer pays for an item and claims that it has never been received and then requests a refund for the physical item or service. If the transaction qualifies for this, you can use our Seller Protection module to get the full amount of the payment back.

PayPal setup

Activation

Seller protection is automatically active if you send the correct information (shipping address and order lines) when creating a transaction within PAY. and at your sales locations with the payment option. For the Seller Protection module it is also necessary that PayPal gives PAY. the permission to forward the information to them. You can set up this setting as specified below:

  • Navigate to the Admin Panel. Go to the tab Sales locations https://admin.pay.nl/programs/programs.

  • Change the relevant sales location by clicking on the 'Change' button.

  • Add PayPal to the 'Payment options' by ticking the payment method. An option to create PayPal settings will appear on the right. Click on 'Add new'.

  • Fill in the following settings Figure: PayPal setup:

    - Shipping address required: Shipping address required
    - Send shipping address: Yes
    - Send along order lines: Yes

  • Click on 'Change'. Then click on the same button again to save the settings. You can now enjoy PayPal's seller protection module.

It is possible to make a PayPal transaction directly from the PAY. Admin Panel and to return the transaction to the customer. However, you must set up this setting in your PayPal environment. Please follow the steps below:

  • Login the PayPal environment and choose in the menu: Tools » Business setup » Option A » Setup API access » Business setup https://www.paypal.com/businessmanage/credentials/apiAccess.

  • Click on the ''Add a new third party'' link.

  • Under ''Username access rights for third parties'' enter the following vendor_api1.pay.nl and click on the look up button.

  • Select the ''Issue a refund for a specific transaction'' setting and click on the ''Add'' button.

  • Now PayPal transactions can be refunded via the PAY. Admin Panel.

External refunds

Starting from the Professional package it is also possible to create an external refund. This is not linked to the original transaction but will appear as a separate refund in the Admin Panel. To create the external refund, you must have the IBAN number and the name of the account holder.

Through PAY. you can offer transactions in another currency in PayPal. For this option, PAY. provides the paymentOption function ''Receive transaction in offered currency''.

You will find this setting in the Sales location of the PAY. Admin Panel. You can find this function by scrolling to the payment option PayPal in your Sales location. Click on change behind the payment option to view the overview of the PayPal settings. At the bottom of the page, you see the payment option setting Receive transaction in offered currency. This setting ensures that when the transaction is offered in a currency other than Euro, it is received in the currency as offered by PayPal.

In order to receive funds in a different currency, you need an account in the same currency within your PayPal account. If you only have a Euro bankaccount, then a conversion can take place. An example: a conversion from GBP (Pound) to Euro (EUR) takes place, which can lead to undesirable problems. PayPal also charges a fee for the conversion from GBP to EUR.

The steps below explain how to add additional currencies to your PayPal account.

    1. Click Money in the menu bar
    2. Click Add a currency
    3. Choose a currency from the list, click on Add a currency

24.2. Activation

If you activate this payment option within your sales location, your file status is approved and the sales location is linked to the correct category, the payment option will be active immediately. A paysafecard staff member will then check whether your offer complies with the Paysaferd rules.

Non compliance e-mail

If paysafecard does not accept your offer, we will remove the payment option in your sales location. If you do not agree with the rejection, please contact paysafecard.

Age verification

Age verification should be integrated if age verification is required for specific products or services. This is the case with, for example, smoking products or gambling activities. The minimum user age must be taken into account for these products and services.

URL, offer and description

Make sure you have entered the correct data in the sales location of your Admin Panel. Take the time to describe your offer. We will send this information, together with your request, to paysafecard.

Przelewy24 is one of the most popular payment methods in Poland. The payment process is very similar to that of iDEAL. It is safe and trusted and runs entirely through the customer's online banking environment. In addition, the customer can pay in their trusted currency which is the Polish Złoty (PLN) while you receive Euros.


26.2. Payout

Stichting Pay.nl receives and processes Przelewy24 transactions and pays the received transactions to you through the process of clearing. It is not necessary to create an extra account or to sign an agreement with Przelewy24.

Conversion from PLN to EUR

If you start the payment in Euros, you will receive the exact amount in your book balance. The amount the consumer pays in PLN is based on the daily rate and the exchange rate.

With Riverty in your online shop, your customers can pay for their products afterwards. In other words: they can first see and experience the products and then decide to pay for them. Riverty's method is quite similar to the giro payment method. However, in this case, you have a payment guarantee and the invoicing process is taken entirely out of your hands. As entrepreneur there is no risk of not receiving your money after shipping the product to your customer(s).

Riverty is rapidly increasing in popularity.

27.3. Limit and check

Consumers who want to pay for their order using Riverty for the first time can only pay a limited amount of € 150,-. For subsequent orders via Riverty, an increased limit applies. The specific limit depends on the merchant.

27.4. Activation and payout

You need to have an account for the payment method Riverty. Transactions without a Riverty account are not supported. Please contact the Riverty support desk. PAY. can process your transactions in two ways:

  • Collecting: PAY. always acts as a collecting PSP and pays out the realized turnover through a clearing.
  • Distributing: PAY. only acts as a distributing PSP if you make use of an Alliance partner. In this case the Riverty processing is taken care of.

Because processing of transactions via one of the above routes has a major impact on the payment of funds, you cannot activate the Riverty payment option without assistance from our support desk. If you have a (new) account please ask Riverty to inform us by e-mail about your connection details.

Important disclaimer: We can only activate your account once the the e-mail from Riverty has been received by our support desk.

The support desk will set up the connection and ensure a succesful test transaction, once notified. Only then do we transfer the implementation to the Riverty support desk. Riverty will ensure that transactions from your website or webshop will take place according to the terms & conditions of Riverty.

27.5. Switch to PAY.

The process to switch from another PSP to PAY. is as follows:

  • The merchant submits a request to Riverty (via sales@afterpay.nl) to switch to PAY.
  • For the switch, PAY. will ensure that the merchant signs a new contract.
  • Riverty will then create a new contract and have it signed by the merchant.
  • Once you have signed and sent the contract, the PAY. implementation team will create a new account and share the necessary data with the merchant.
  • The old account will remain active for several months due to the possibility of potential refunds.
  • The account will be closed after a final payout has taken place.

27.6. Delayed Capturing (Riverty)

Once a transaction has been accepted by the Riverty credit check, the status will change to PAID. The reason for this is because PAY. registers the capturing setting for every new connection via PAY. to the standard ''Immediately (after the credit check)'' option. If you do not want to capture automatically and you have a Premium package, please contact the PAY. support desk.

If you use a Professional package or higher, the following settings are possible:

  • Immediately (after the credit check)

    This is a standard setting for both Pioneer and Premium packages.

  • Via individual promotion (API or Admin)

    Note: If a transaction has been accepted by the Riverty credit check, the status changes to AUTHORIZE. You must capture or void (cancel) transactions manually (or via our API). If you do not capture this, the authorization will automatically expire after 14 days. If you want to deliver delayed with the guarantee that the transaction will be captured, request a change to one of the settings below.

With the telephone payment option telephone payments (also known as Pay Fixed Price (PFP)) you can let your customers pay a fixed amount with their telephone. The visitor of your webshop pays up to the amount of the purchase with his / her mobile phone, after which the connection is automatically disconnected.

Currently, only Dutch customers can use this payment method through an 090X service number with a consumer rate of € 1,- per minute.

30.2. Payout

Stichting Pay.nl receives and processes telephone payment transactions and pays the received transactions to you through the process of clearing. Please be aware of the long release period: 25 days after the end of the month.

Net payout

A big advantage for you as a merchant of this payment method is that the costs are entirely for the user's account. Depending on the telephone line used, the end user pays a surcharge per minute.

Example

You sell a product for € 10,-. Your Dutch customer calls a paid service number of € 1,- per minute. If you suppose that the costs for this payment method are 10%. To settle this amount, the user must remain on the line for 11 minutes. The costs for the user are then € 11,-. The net payout is € 10,-.

In the Admin Panel you can reverse a payment to the end user's account.

You can make multiple IBAN refunds per transaction. The maximum amount that can be refunded to an end user is 100% of the original order amount + € 30,-.

Trustly is a Swedish online payment method for bank transfers in Europe. More than 3.300 banks in 29 European countries support this online payment service. Trustly was founded in 2018 and is known as one of the safest payment methods on the market. It is a recognized and authorized payment service that is supervised by the Finansinspektionen, the Swedish financial supervisory authority.

32. WeChat Pay

WeChat Pay is a semi-wallet. A semi-wallet can transfer money to other payment methods such as a bank account or credit card. The WeChat App was released in 2011 by contract partner Tencent and has been installed by millions of end users for online communication and payments.

In the WeChat App Chinese end users can link their current account or credit card. If an end user has paid, and this has been confirmed by the app, the same amount is then deducted from the WeChat Pay balance or from the linked payment method. WeChat Pay transactions are received in the accounting balance.

Payments at the checkout (in the physical store) can be made using the QuickPAY option. The user can select this option by going to MONEY in the app where a QR-code is shown. Both contain a unique code which is valid as long as the app is open. If no hand scanner is available, you can choose to display the payment code on the screen. In that case an 18-digit code starting with the number 10, 11, 12, 13 or 14 can be entered manually by the staff member. Once the code has been entered, your customer will receive a confirmation on their mobile phone. Sometimes, when a payment is made straight away and when it contains a higher amount, the customer can press the ''PAY NOW'' button.

The user’s mobile phone must be connected to the internet during the payment. The speed of the payment depends on the internet connection. In practice, the app receives the payment request from the cash register within one second.

32.3. E-commerce via QR

Online payments can be easily done by your customer with the help of the app. As soon as your customer chooses WeChat as a payment option, he / she is forwarded to a hosted payment page (HPP) where a QR-code is displayed. As soon as this code is scanned, the transaction details such as your company / trade name, the amount and the description of the payment order are shown on the display. In most cases, pressing the ''PAY NOW'' button is important. In certain cases, the app will ask for additional verification (i.e. a password, pin code or a Face ID / Touch ID).

33.1. Move instore terminal to PAY.

A total of € 150,- is charged for taking over a PIN terminal and for converting the terminal to the PAY.cloudpin platform. You can start the application by following the steps below:

  • Check if your terminal has the following type: Yomani ML 2 Base Unit
  • Find the POI number
  • Send an e-mail to your current provider (or Worldline) that you want to link the terminal to PAY. If you can't find the POI number, you can request it from your current supplier.
  • Send an e-mail to support@pay.nl with the following information:

33.2. Creditcard activation

Would you like to activate credit card payments on your PIN terminal(s)? Then please send an e-mail with the following information:

You can easily find the TH-code in the Admin Panel. Navigate to the Admin Panel. Click on the "Manage" tab. Then press ''PIN terminals''. The TH-code can be found in the orange left bar of the column. In the overview you will also find other information including the status and settings of your PIN terminal.

  • Only possible with Yomani terminals.
  • You pay a monthly service fee of € 1.50 per terminal and per activated card (free until December 2020!).
  • When changing a terminal, the terminal costs of € 13.95 are charged.
  • An application takes an average of 5 working days.
  • An urgent request can be processed within 48 hours. Additional costs of € 79,- per application will be charged.
