Google Ads has posted about how one business has managed to increase its CTR by a remarkable 0.15%. I agree that a higher click-through-rate is generally a good thing. Also that, where possible, linking to external data can be helpful. And that testing (if done well) can be productive. But that's not what I want to talk about. I'm not even going to quibble about whether that 0.15% means that their CTR went, for example, from 5.0% to 5.15% or to 5.0075%. Either way, these are modest (yet welcome) increases. Yet it does tell us the importance of CTR in Google Ads. If not, why would Google make such a big deal out of such a tiny increase? Which is why we place so much emphasis on consistently high CTRs across our clients' accounts. I post regular screengrabs showing many accounts with a CTR greater than 20%. Google's post supports my view that an average CTR of 6% is simply not good enough. What is your CTR? I'm #KennethMackay, writing about #GoogleAds, #PPC, and #OnlineMarketing. 🤿 How to deep dive into your pMAX campaigns 🤿 Tip 1: To calculate the incrementality of your performance max efforts, you need to know which network your conversions are coming from. You can use the script from Mike Rhodes to segment your data into a neat google sheet. Tip 2: When analysing pMAX don’t forget to check which type of conversions are allocated to pMAX within Ads. Marcel Smal wrote a really insightful post about this. Next to this, always try to analyze the real performance of pMAX outside of the Google Ads Platform. You can do this via GA4 or for instance via analysing backend conversions (this should be your preferred option). Tip 3: Use your product feed (or business data feed) to create a structure for pMAX campaigns. If you have separate budgets for instance per category, or have different languages on your site, or you only want to test pMAX within a restricted space, make sure you leverage a feed to maintain your true goals for your pMAX campaign. #googleads #pmax #analyzing #ppcadvertising

Google Ads Amazing Tips Day # 4 What bidding strategy you should use? I would recommend that if you have a fresh or new account. You should start with t-max clicks or max clicks. And after getting 20+ conversions in 30 days you can switch to t-max conversions or t-ROAS. You can use max conversions and max value without any target depends upon the data you have. Pro tip: Every strategy doesn't work everywhere so test, test, test!
